Where do I install the VOITAS Wallbox?
You can install the wallbox indoors as well as preferably roofed outdoor areas.
How do I charge my EV with the VOITAS Wallbox?
You can charge your EV with different modes. The profile mode charges over night and uses less energy during the day. Surplus charging with the wallbox depends on the amount of excess solar power you created. For a normal cycle without PV, you won’t need a Smartmeter.
How does the surplus charging function of the VOITAS Wallbox work?
Which EV-models are compatible with the VOITAS Wallbox?
The VOITAS Wallbox can charge every EV, as long as it is compatible with a Type-2-outlet. This applies to both electric- and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Is the VOITAS Wallbox compatible with my PV plant modules?
Our wallbox works with every PV plant, as it measures power independently via the VOITAS Smart Meter.
Do I always have to completely unroll the cable of the VOITAS Wallbox?
Our wallbox has a marker that shows you if you unrolled the correct amount. With a cable of 5 meters you have to unroll 1 meter. With 8 meters cable-length you will have to unroll 4 meters. Of course, the wallbox functions under these suggested values, however, it will heat up and reduce charging power.
Can I install the VOITAS Wallbox by myself?
To guarantee a proper function of your wallbox, we recommend you use the expertise of a licensed electrician. Compared to other wallboxes, our installation is easier and faster.
On what kind of wall can I install the VOITAS Wallbox?
You can install the wallbox on every concrete wall with an anchor depth of at least 3 cm. We do not recommend installing the walbox on plasterboards. Dowels and drill template for easier positioning will be included with delivery.
How does the charging work?
The on-board charger of the vehicle controls the charging of the battery. The wallbox provides the charger with AC voltage and regulates the maximum power that can be received from the electricity grid.
Do I need a PV plant to use the VOITAS Wallbox?
No. Our wallbox can be configured without a PV plant, so you can use it as a normale EV-charger.
To use our walbox and the system in the most efficient way, you will need our Smartmeter. The Smartmeter will calculate the power surplus in your PV plant.
How does the RFID of the VOITAS Wallbox work?
RFID activation is possible when you purchase your wallbox. The RFID chip is registered to a user via the app. Before each charge, you scan the RFID chip directly on the wallbox. This authorizes the charging process. This is especially helpful if you use your wallbox with multiple users and want to keep a separate overview of charging statistics.
Please note that the RFID scan only works with our VOITAS RFID chip.
